Ecclesiastes 7:8

8 The end of a thing is better than its beginning;

Your life on earth is a process that will ultimately conclude with you transitioning into heaven at the moment your body dies. Jesus has provided believers with access to God throughout eternity due to our faith in the efficacy of His substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world. Within that process are multiple processes that are orchestrated by God so that believers are empowered and aided in their efforts to remain in compliance with God’s purpose and will for their lives. Ecclesiastes 7:8 provides comfort for believers as we attempt to navigate with a sense of urgency through the process of life.

It promises that the end of a thing is better than its beginning. The reality of the text should compel believers to work within the area which has been ordained by God for them patiently and trust Him to make the finished product greater at the end of the enterprise. Faith in the promise embedded within the text can be the fuel that believers need as the vicissitudes of life attempt to steal the prerequisite passion and efforts that must be consistently employed if success is to be obtained ultimately. Be encouraged because the thing that God has placed on your heart to pursue will become great as God works through your tireless efforts that are saturated by faith. God will make this promise your reality if you trust him throughout the process.

In Christ Alone,
